well, if you dont have a chech engine light on then your ecu is running open loop, so no you dont need it.

mad cuz your stock D15 sucks, so you give this guy hell for not knowing anything about a car. this is a public forum, used to get info on things you dont know about. lets take a second to think how empty the boards would be if everyone knew everything.......... well, there wouldnt be any point in HT then would there.

its more of a serious warning...in a sarcastic type of way
Owning a boosted car requires knowing almost everything there is to know. And not knowing where an o2 sensor goes and what it does, is probably just as dangerous as asking what the alternator is for.
Someone has bitten off a LOT more than they should chew...hope the engine is a tough one

I agree with schardbody. Hey, if you purchased a Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T for example, it's boosted, and do you think even 50% of their drivers know how everything works in their car? NO! Why else would mechanics exist?
