Default Exhaust Question

Today while I was driving on the interstate I was going up a hill when all of the sudden my car gets really loud and has a lot of vibration. so I get home as soon as possible and look at my exhaust ad see a piece hangin down. could you tell me what part it is my dad said it blew a weld at the cat converter but I think it was at the resonator. i dont know how to put pics on here so you'd have to look at my car domain thing on the second page.

That interior mesh looks like a cat to me.

i dont think its a cat cause it goes exhaust manifold-cat-piping-resonator-piping-muffler. theres like a canister thing at the end of the exhaust manifold so im pretty sure thats the cat.

Guess the '98 resonator looks different than my 2000, which is why I didn't recognize it. If that broke off between the can and the muffler? That's where I've seen just about everyone break.

i think thats the resonator. since i have an hx also and the cat is in front, behind the front bumper. my head pipe got busted like 3 months ago so i had to get it replaced. but muffler shops can also weld it back for cheaper but they say it wont last long so i decided to get the thing replaced.

Get something quiet, the police in Maine are getting bitchier and bitchier (sp?) look at the apexi world sports or dc sports exhaust those are nice ones, I just ordered a spoon n1. SHould be here in June. It is loud, but its fairly stock looking, so the cops shouldnt give me too much around here. We'll see. DO you have AIM? im from portland area. I emailed u.
