Recommended Fuel Company
I bought a S2000 2004 model, and was using Shell optimax (98 octane). I always used this fuel because if its good enough for Ferrari .....!
I was experiencing engine "knock" when driving up my steep driveway. When I questioned my honda dealer with this problem, the service guys said to use mobil or BP high octane fuel instead..Has anyone had this problem with their S2000 ??

Never been a fan of Shell. Chevron 92 all the way here in Oregon. If you are still worried, try a Toluene mix. Up to 30% Toluene mix w/ 92 will yield 98.6 Octane. I run that in my race rabbit, and it rules.
just realized ur in australlia. do u know what method they use there for figuing out octane ratings? because it could be a different method then what the US uses, which would make the 98, not really 98 based on our standards. but it should still be a pretty high octane rating.
I like to stick with Shell 91 octane here in cali is the highest in most places...but I have heard that there is a gas station 76 with 100 octane near here....??wish I could find it if it was true...
