alcohol D16y7??
I'm interested in converting my 00 Civic D16y7 into E85 (alcohol) only thing I could find was with summitracing.com for a carb conversion kit. Has anyone heard of any conversions for the MPFI?
There's absolutely no point in running alcohol in the d16y7. Your car is already MPFI, it just has a really low-tech, fuel efficient intake manifold design. Get rid of that motor and build something worthy.
Perhaps I didn't say that right, I was stating my car was MPFI just you lose the tonality with text. Anyhow this isn't for performance, this is so I can run on E85 also called alcohol. When E85 hits the streets in full force it should be cheaper than regular gas. I was only saying I found a conversion kit for Carbs and that I have MPFI so I'm looking for the conversion for my current MPFI system. So there is a point on running it, and I already built a LS/vtec for the CRX so... Meh
You must not have been watching the news with Bush pushing E85.

Oh, I see now. I've heard of people running all motor SOHC setups. And the ones I've seen that make the most power have been carbureted. Just look in the archives of the all motor section. A guy in here made around 210whp with a built all motor D16A6 on carbs
Whatever man, your just being dumb now. I just stated I found a Carb conversion kit for E85 but not a Fuel injected version and you get all negative nancy..

yeah, don't worry about him, he doesn't seem to know what he's talking about.

that's pretty much the best e85 thread I've seen.
e85 responds very well to higher compression, so if you do the conversion, and if you get a chance, put some d16a1 pistons in there
