i recently got done building a GSR block with some Nippon CTR (copy) pistons
with a skunk2 st2 camshaft, local machine ported head and a JG VictorX intake manifold it made 181whp and 129lbs.tq with the cam gears at (0,0) no tuning......but dint get a chance to finish tuning the motor because of a lil incendent of the flywheel bolts.......
so i think Nippon pistons are not bad at all......i usaualy get some broken ringlands using honda OEM pistons on a new rebuild.....but witht the Nippon it dint happen.....maybe im just lucky this time.....hahhaahahaha

I've also wondered about them too, the ones I see on e-bay that are supposedly like CTR dome or whatever, but the make them in 84mm and 84.5.

I've wondered how they compare to the RS machine ITR B20 pistons.

They are very good pistons. I've used them in a couple builds now and also sold a few sets on here before. NPR rings are quite fine as we'll. I would say the over all quality is as good if not better than Honda OEM. Rocket had some input before on a thread that I started stating he thought NPR rings worked well.

Take care.
