Default 2006 Civic lx coupe

Hey Guys and gals,

I was wondering if it is possible to install an amp and sub in a 2006 civic lx coupe. If so what hardware would I require and what is the best place to buy. What power of amp amd sub would I need for this car?

Well if you keep your factory radio you will need the following:
Hi to low converter
Amp wiring kit 8g (minimum)
I recommend JL audio subs and amps. The subs sound great in small enclosures which saves you space. The amps are really powerful and well worth the money. If you want to swap out your radio check out Pioneer and Alpine head units.

Alright that helps so it can be connected with no problems with the stock deck as I want to keep it.

With the JL Audio amps you don't even need the "Hi to low converter", [LOC] they have a low/high input voltage switch... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/SYS_5.pdf

Check out this also while your at it... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/prod...id=94 if you ever want to upgrade the OEM HUs SQ. 94

Ok and where is the best place to buy amps and subs? Best buy or future shop or a specialized audio store

Although you will maybe pay a little more, buy from any authorized retail dealer, it is the only way to get full hassle free warranties, and if you have the amp installed at a dealer you will get lifetime warranty on the install also, as with most brands JL Audio has a dealer finder on their site... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/dealerfind.php

And as with anything spend a little time shopping around and checking out authorized dealers, they are all hungry to make a deal, you should never have to pay the marked price for anything, if nothing else get them to throw in an amp kit, or sell you the better one, [ANL fuse] for the price of the cheaper one. 94
