Default R.I.P 1997 #255

Well I have to say that my fun with this turbo r came to an end 2 weeks ago. Trying to settle my insurance claim so far i'm getting 22000 canadian plus able to keep her so i can part her out or start a new project. I haven't decided what to do yet I found a 2001 shell no motor but he's willing to throw in the tranny for $8500US what u guys think should i resurrect her . I have over 20000 grand just in the motor build with labour plus add the turbo build which was another 7G's. If anyone is interested or inquire about part you can conntact me import2ner@msn.com.

You get 22,000 CAN and the car? I'd take that and find a donor car for the motor and other stuff.

I'm wondering the same thing... My insurance company valued my Type-R out at $16,200, and I can PROMISE you I wouldn't see near that value if I totaled it.

Also, I'm interested in what happened as well, that looks like a pretty harsh wreck.

22,000.00 CAD
Canada Dollars = 19,679.76 USD
United States Dollars

not to be a dick but how did you have 7k into a turbo setup and you have cheap hose clamps holding on your couplers?

Sorry i've been busy lalely I usally post on itrca.com

but this is what happened

I was coming up on some left and right turns up the hill and I turned right to avoid a racoon or dog it was at 2:30 am but the shoulder wasn't clean there was dirt and sand and when i went to pull back left my rear end gave out. I tried correcting but it was too late my car spun 180 sliding acroos the street on to the other side where there was a side walk resulting in the buckled wheels then jumped the sidwalk a cable wire guard rail did all the other damage on the side and rear as i was taking out 10 wooden post to which the cables where attached it then slinged us back into the centre of the road thank god there was no cars at the time diving by. I guess it did it's job from not letting me and 2 buddies fall down a ravine and possibly killing or seriously injuring us. Nobody got hurt or injured just a few bumps on my head from hiting the roof as im 6'3 .

I bought The 2001 PY for $8500 with tranny no motor the guy blew his engine

I got 22000 + 15% tax its gonna be just over $25000. My cost for the R is 12% of what they pay me for it. never take 1st offer they wanted to give me 18000 i said i have more then that in engine alone I gave them receipts for 46000 in parts. I got ripped off on the turbo i know. They only added the value of what got wrecked so wheels, body kit and my traction bars. Yeah i'm not putting no body kits on this one i'm older now I was 20 when i got my R, back then Í liked the body kits and really liked the bomex but now i'm older and i grew out of it.
Anyways I'll be driving another R that's whats most important but i'm not really a fan of the PY but it'll do
