Wondering if you guys could help, i'm wanting to put it on my R and i'm not worried about how it should be placed just want it to be wired up. It's been one another car before and has lots of wires taped up and other side of the wires it has three wires.

Maybe he removed the stock tach for a weight reduction?

Two tachs will net you right at 4whp gain... why is there then a need for weight reduction?

Not sure if the TypeR comes with a finer quality tachometer stock from the factory compared to other cars, but in my 93 civic, the oem tach gets very iffy past about 5k on up when compared to other sources like data logs and dyno tuning. If this is true then all of the badgering is unecessary. My tach isnt the first honda tach I have heard of to be innaccurate as well. My new build will see 9500+ rpms and if it needs an accurate measurement device, then so be it.

That's a nice unit... I need one of those for the wife. Just to make sure she stays in Vtack and that she doesn't over rev.

Silly banter and flaming people is the H-T way... I'm still honing my skills.

Everyone knows that:

I find it's easier to get that perfect quick shift at the right time. Thats my opion against many others anyway. Yeah, i'll send photos of it when i get money on my Cell phone. I like my tachometer, i use it on my R with pride

My stock tach was dead on at about 3500 RPMs. This is on a CRX. So if you figure that it starts to deviate from the actual number after that, then I can't see it going to far off, at least not enough to be significant.

But I still need to buy an aftermarket tach b/c mine only goes to 8k

Put up pics when you're finished. 5" seems like a huge tach to sit on your dash.
