15/16" master cylinders came in a variety of Civics and Integras with the 10.3" front brakes. Some cars with the 10.3" fronts had a 7/8" or a 1" MC though - depends on the model, year, and presence of ABS.
The '99-00 USDM EM1 Si had a 7/8" MC. The "GSR" does not have a unique brake system; it used the same brakes as all other '94-01 ABS Integras (except Type-R).

First of all, why? What brakes do you have?
Second of all, it depends on which model you take it from. It may also require reflaring a line.

the brakes are from an integra....not sure of what year. had abs? i was told that the stock civic master cylinder isnt strong enough for the calipers of the front brakes. it should be from a gsr.

Not necessarily. All '96-00 Civics and '98-01 Integras (plus '97 ITR) have the 9:00/3:00 bolt pattern. This is in contrast to earlier models which had either 10:30/4:30 (non-ABS Civic) or 7:30/1:30 (Integra, ABS Civic) and thus required a booster swap to use certain MCs on certain cars.
