They're a great improvement over the stock ride, but an engine swap would be more bang for the buck in this case.

My friend has one on his 99 SI. It's not very impressive to say the least.
His best time on slicks is 14.7..............

What are you serious? Has he done any tunning to the car? Damn I thought that it would be better than that.

Dodger who is very disapointed in the Jackson charger.

jackson sucks, end of story, you can probably get more horsepower from putting rat excrement in your gas tank.

He has had the car fully tuned, but recently he has been having major problems with the SC. IMO JRSC are crap.........

With the money you spend on the supercharger you can get a swap... They don't do **** for the money you pay.

Well, I was going to say from what I have read the Jackson Racing Supercharger isn't all that impressive, but if your friend can pick it up for that cheap then I would probably say go for it. Just make sure it is in good condition b/c it is 4 years old.

so just because one guy runs a 14.7 you think all of em do?Trust me his car must NOT be tuned for ****.I was running 13s at 6psi.Plenty of witnesses too, some on this board.205++ hp,140+tq,at 8psi.If you TUNE it on a DYNO itll run great,i went 30K on mine,no probs.Sorry though,i think ANY Si at 6psi SHOULD hit 13s on slicks or the car runs like shity or the driver BLOWS.

i just love all this"From what i heard" crap.Sorry, but a WELL TUNED JRSC is damn near like a low boost greddy kit.It was pricey(even more now that JR raised prices) but it allowed me to burn new mustangs badly, and stay really damn close to LS1s

are you saying 13.9???? when you say 13's ..not flaming but he said his friend ran 13.7 on an SI and the poster is talking about a 96 and up civic???? most likely it will not have the 2nd gen b16 and will not pull as high of #'s as the SI did, even if the SI was out of tune i dont see even a 96-2000 civic ex with a JRSC pulling off 14.0 or even breaking 13's ..if it did pull those #;s everyone and there mother would be bolting on a s/c on there civic ex ...

My new project will be jrsc`d. Wait til you see the results. Plus, when I got pulled over, hassled, or need a smog, I have a CARB number . Don`t believe everything you read, Guys. Btw, turbo`d drag race guys, take your cars on a road course and see how well it runs . Oscar comes from a Road Racing background, he`s not a drag racer.

Jesus Christ!

Guy is talking about a SOHC motor, not the 99-00 Si!

**** a supercharged SOHC with an AUTO tranny. You pal will be highly dissappointed when LS swaps are kicking his ***.

Swap, and while he's at it he needs to convert to manual tranny too

haha yea i was talkin about SOHC...i have been tellin the kid to do a swap...but he wants everything smog legal...and its hard to find a 2000+ us-spec motor(and he wants a H22a)...that why he is tempted to buy this charger...and its cheap...i just wanted some opinons from guys who actually have one on a civic coupe ex...its cool tho ill just tell him not to get it and just give up on making his ride fast

i had one on my 98 coupe...as for me, it gave me all the power i want d..be careful about buying a used blower..after 100k they need to be overhaul d..not as much power as a turbo..but, u can run on boost all day without messing up ur motor..

Sorry if i was harsh guys I just saw "96+ so i had to get my 2 cents in I was a big fan of it while it was on my car,and it just pisses me off that so many people install em,and never tune em and bitch about the performance.

I'm just going by what i have seen. I'm sure there are people out there that are running much quicker, but from my experience the product is not that great. The blower on my friends car is not even that old and he is already experiencing problems with it. He is extremely **** about his car, so i am sure it was properly tuned. Maybe he just got a lemon...........
