Probably trading my Talon for an S2K! :)
Hello all, I am new to the forum, but will be around quite a bit. I have come across a deal to trade my '92 talon + 5K cash for an '02 S2K (clean title, 32K miles, no problems). Look forward to learning and sharing
!

somebody tried to IM me but I don't have access (trial user). But yes she is out of her mind to do this trade, but I am not complaining
well what kind of talon? my buddy had a 94 tsi that was bored and he upgraded the turbo, and we did a lot of work, took it to the local track and we were easily beating the local porches. if u have awd tsi with low miles u have a nice tuner car, im a fan
I have a '93 AWD 6/4 combo w 70K original miles and 1k miles on the built motor(2.4L)/tranny(Shep)/turbo(3065) setup. Everything(other then body) you can think of is modified (too long to list). But it is time for a convertible and good gas mileage car

Yes sir, I did. The funny thing is, is that she thought she was getting the better end of the deal and was asking too much for the $5K, which I gladly paid up

BTW she is 20, so I suggested which parts to take off/switch on my car so that she didn't kill herself (my car was way more then she could handle).
I am absolutely loving the S2K, since I got it for sooo cheap and have lots of DSM parts to liquidate I will probably be putting together a grocery list soon

Absolutely, that is the key word! Reliability is a thing that will be quite nice! Though, after the upgrade plans I have I am not so sure just how "reliable" it will be

Naw, that car will never leaver her possession again. I'll explain. The reason this girl(20) saw sooo much value in my talon was because it was the very first car she ever owned. Her dad's name is the first spot on the title. She had wanted for as long as she was growing up and finally received it for her 16th birthday. She took great care of it and never beat on the car. At the age of 18 she was forced to give up the car since she was not going to college. It got sold to one other person(didn't drive it) until I got ahold of it. The interior is flawless, the body still looks perfect and the motor/tranny/turbo setup I put in was good enough to take out most cars. So needless to say my talon was not junk, I had entertained offers of $10K before. BUT, my talon was EVEN more VALUABLE to the girl because of it being her "first love"(named it and everything) lol. Secondly, she is now dating a guy that has more then enough money so that is not a big deal to her
. Overall, she thinks she won, and I think I won. So it was a WIN/WIN situation!
