Need help with my 97 accord
k guys i have a 97 accord Lx 4cl.. i've been having some problems with it lately..sometimes when it's running it will shut off, if i try to turn it back on it will kinda start but it will die again..i have to turn the switch about 10 to 15 times before i can get it to start again..i thought it was a bad distributor but i changed that and it still does the same thing..i also changed the spark plugs and the spark plug wires..if anyone can help me out that would be awesome..thanks in advanced..
You can check this link out for troubleshooting. I suspect the ignition switch though. Good luck

today i looked at my ignition and when i move the harness around my check engine light ect goes on and off and there is also a clicking sound..i did what black fish suggested..thanks man now i know for sure that it is my ignition..now my question is...if i take the ignition out is it fixable or should i not even bother and go buy one at a junk yard?
There's two possible reasons for the check engine light going on and off and the clicking sound when you move the ignition switch harness around. Either...
1. The Ignition electrical switch is faulty (the bluish green portion on this picture.)
2. There is a loose connection at the fuse box.
(This 97 Accord ebay ignition switch appears to be from a wrecker yard. )
The solution is to go to your dealer and get a free switch because the 97 appears to be under the recall. Then go to http://techauto.te.funpic.org/...2.htm to learn how to replace it. Or if you're lucky the dealer handles it all.
