I've recently acquired my second ED (EF) and this one has this interesting problem of not wanting to start only after I fill it up with gas. Any ideas of what could be causing this?

 

How hot is it right now? It may be your main relay. Mine does that in the summer here when it gets to about 85 or more and I stop it and then try to start it again, like when getting gas.

Others may have a better idea.

 

yeah, i've thought about the main relay. maybe it is just coincidence that its only happening when i fill up with gas. are there any sensors i should check?

 

Sounds like a hot soak problem- I let mine run while filling up (why shut it off any way?)- sometimes a new TW (ECT) sensor can help.
