Need help. Sister's Civic needs more low end power.
All right, here's the deal. I owned a Civic for a couple years and have owned an Eclipse for 3 or 4. I know the basic mods for NA 4 cylinders. My problem here is that my sister wants more low end power for her 2000 LX auto but she uses this car as a daily driver and doesn't want any noisy parts on it. Even an intake might be too loud for her. Are there any fairly inexpensive parts that are available that could add a little grunt to her motor?

No.
No.
Would a 4-2-1 header make a noticeable enough difference in low end power? Team that up with either a K&N filter or an intake (depends on how much noise she can handle) and maybe that'll give enough to give the little car some decent power. It is pretty sad. It can't even make it up a long hill on the highway without dropping into a lower gear.

A TCI torque converter will make the car feel quicker(similar to a lightweight flywheel in manual cars) also a new set of plugs & wires as well as a dropm in K&N will help a little too with no additional noise. that's really all you can do to a car without changing the noise tone/volume.

yup. She drives an automatic civic lx. There is no such thing as low end power (without a supercharger at least)
