Default Exhaust Clicks???????

i dunno, but when i turn my car off after returning home from work... work clicks..... it clicks like every 10 seconds, and then as the car cools down, the clicks go down to about 15-20 seconds intervals... i can hear it, when i lean under the car.... but what the heck is this noise, im almost positive its coming from the exhaust but could be wrong.... btw its a 94 accord lx.... thanx in advacne....

What lunarone was going to say was, metal expands when heated, contracts when cooled. The ticking you hear is the exhaust piping cooling/contracting.

Perhaps it is still the heat thing. Maybe your engine/exhaust is hotter when you are driving and for the few seconds that you idle, your exhaust could be cooling...maybe

Is the exhaust new? If so, it could be binding up at a joint somewhere.
