Is it possible to install the oil pump so the crank doesnt line up properly to turn it? Or will it only fit on if the notches are lined up? I cant remember what that end of the crank looked like but I also dont remember lining anything up to get the pump to fit on. I just put it on and tightened it down.

 

The center piece of the oil pump is round with one flat side. There is only one way it can go on.
