i have a d16y7 and i bought a d16y8 head have it all installed but when i took out the dizzy from my d16y7 it didnt line up would any sohc Vtec dizzy work meaning line up and juss plug and play or do i have to get a d16y8 dizzy

 

I read that obd 1 or obd 2 Distributors will fit my head (d16y8) but was wondering PLUG and play or modifaction needed????????? also wondering if it mater any sohc Vtec also heard that even if they dont line up if 2 grab its ok will it work?

 

the y7 and y8 dizzy are exactly the same thing. Maybe you're trying to install it in the wrong position.

Use the obd2 d16y8 distributor. my friend is doing the same with his 99 dx.

 

yea it juss doesnt line up i pulled the dizzy apart the cap and the dizzy and well i got it near my old head and it lines up but when i put it near my new one it doesnt at all was wondering if 93 si distributor would work ??
