Besides the fact that they made it look like rice beyond belief, im talking lower grill inserts that looks look a FMIC, they didnt even use the same car. The owners car had shaved moldings while the one that was riced out had removed moldings but the indents still there.

I just got down watching that show, how can it not be the same car they replaced all the fenders and doors and the rear panel which would be why the indents came back

its the same car, chip hates bondo, it was removed from where the shaving was done

 

noob. they probably dont even know about the jdm band wagon look. yeah its clean, but only to the ppl that are really into it. its a show and what are they to do. just make a car look stock but hella clean. no they have to do the whole body kit thing and crazy paint. thats why that car came out looking like a ricer.

 

why do you guys hate body kits anyway? don't hate on what others like man..

 

because kids with bodykits look like tools, they get stereo typed as **** that pay other people to do there work. They are incapable and childish. They beg for attention with there car, and have no working knowledge to defend there hobby with.

they always look losers.

 

post up pictures of a good body kit and then we will say wow thats crazy. but most body kits look gay because your cars bulgeing and doesnt match your car and will attract 10 year old kids. i actually saw the end of that show and the thing i didnt like was the big wheels low profile tires they put on there and the gay paint job...ya it was pretty riced but they covered all the rice points carbon fiber dash, custom woofer setup, big wheels, gay paint, and a wangsta driva

 

cant stand bodykits, reminds me of nfs: underground wait wheres the barf smiley.

 

The car was not done to my taste, or to any taste I don't think.

BUT, the craftsmanship was impressive to say the least. They took a pile of **** and turned it into something pretty nice no matter what the stereotype that goes with it says.

I did think it was cool the guy WAS rocking a primered coupe on steelies with a B18C1 swap in it. His priorities were straight before they got ahold of it.

It's actually not riced out THAT badly. The only bad part I see is the chrome rims and the ridiculous 2 color scheme. The top one color and bottom another is the most retarded paint idea I've ever seen. It's just not appealing to the eye.

Body kits usually just look unnatural as hell, on civics especially. They end up looking like ******* alien spacecraft. Everything on the top half of the car is stock looking, then bottom half is completely different because of all the crazy **** bolted on. Front/rear lips and sideskirts are where I draw the line.

Not a bad looking car ... tho the huge hyper-black wheels .... and the herpes of the paint speak volumes. At least it's got a gizzer.

 

You guys are too hard on other people Foose did a great job on that car because its not Mad JDM Tight then its ugly nobody like its. Had it been covered in mugen or spoon stuff then everyone would have loved it. Its simple and clean the paint job is new and unique to imports which makes the car even better.

who cares... not your car so why worry..

 

The work he did on the trunk was also impressive as hell, I definately dug that as it is VERY subtle but so different at the same time.

If they would have thrown 16 inch wheels on it, or even 17's, I would have liked it a lot more.

 

im more into the clean look but to me that car looks hot I would take it

I also thought the trunk was tight. Yeah, he did rice it out some, but as a total package, it was an improvement. remember that Foose isn't exactly known for doing imports, he was probably just doing his best to guess what this guy would want. Its definietly not the best civic to hit the streets, but it could have been a hell of a lot worse.

Also, it was the same car, and for once, it was nice to see the owner pop the hood right off the bat once they saw their car.

haha yeah guys you can't expect chip foose to make a honda-tech approved civic.....as far as he can see, as flashy as possible is cool in the import scene, and due to his background in domestic cars, that was toned down a bit

the only part i really dont like is the wheels, theyre way too big....i would personally never want purple paint, but everything else looks good.....
