Default ef horn, how does it complete the circuit?

So I'm trying to put my Personal steering wheel on the crx. It's a Momo hub that i've had for years and I don't know if the button is bad or not, but I wanted someone to let me know if it was the hub being the problem or the button, so here's pics of both the stock steering wheel hub & the aftermarket along with the colum it sits on.
momo

stock

colum

see the two height differences? i have to have the horn haha
