How many Doors do you have, what kind of Transmission, and do you have ABS?

slhondaparts.com shows the following:
(Year, Model, Doors, Trim, Tranny = "Master Cylinder", "Master Cylinder Assembly")
97 Civic 2DR EX 5MT non-ABS = 46100-S04-A14 46100-S04-A12
97 Civic 2DR EX 4AT non-ABS = 46100-S04-A14, 46100-S04-A12

97 Civic 2DR EX 4AT ABS = 46100-S04-L54, 46100-S04-L52

97 Civic 4DR EX 4AT = 46100-S04-L54, 46100-S04-L52
97 Civic 4DR EX 5MT = 46100-S04-L54, 46100-S04-L52

99 Civic 2DR SI = 46100-S04-A14

I will leave you to draw your own conclusions...
Hope this helped!

I didn't mean to ask what Tranny Code.. Just if you had MT (5-speed) or AT (4-speed)...

Sounds like you can keep your Original BMC in...

Let us know how things go!

if you want to take full advantage of the rear dics then atleast change the proportional valve to an integra i think 40/40.maybe even a 1" master cylinder.
