any1 know where the switch/relay for cooling fan is?

i just got a 89 dx hatch and i cant find the cooling fan switch/relay.i havnt looked from the bottom yet but it is also a euro spec vehicle but i dont think that matters most everything else on it is same as US spec.

the radiator fan relay is behind the passenger side headlight. the switch is behind the engine block, near the filter. it has a large black boot and two wires coming out.
