Default RECIP WEIGHT

I know that reductions in the reciprocating weight of an engine are almost always a good thing. I was wondering if anyone was any first hand experience with the net gains of the reduced reciprocating mass of the rods, pistons, and wrist pin or any other internal engine components and how it relates to actual real world HP.
