Having an issue... Interemittent "power" cut at 8k sometimes 9k sometimes 7k Rpms...
Very confused but thought I'd post to see if anyone has had this happen to them.
New motor about 1.5 weeks old. Just began doing this when we removed the MSD a few days ago.
At 100% throttle the motor has a power cut-out which feels like a fuel cut. This happens only intermittently and never at the same Rpm... Sometimes at 7500 rpm, sometimes at 9000 rpm...Very lost. Any suggestions within reason would be apprecieated.
possible ignitor problem?? try another distributor just to see what will happen ,, see if you could borrow one
Will be giving that a shot tonight...Any other ideas? All grounds checked....
i would be its that , but what about ecu? is it chipped i have seen funnier things
ECU is chipped. Its not the ECU...I dun think. Just incase, Ill swap ecus to see for sure.
I'm having the same problem, but my car makes it constantly like from 8600-8700k 15whp when that **** happens, I'm going to check the distributor, let me know if you solve your problem

Yea, its a constant occurance now...And yes, It feels like quite a bit of power escapes.
to be exactlywhen my car makes that loose 15whp and 13lbs of tq, in the road it feels like if the engine has the rev limit set at this rpm and after that moment it continues up
