Buddy of mine wants to start riding, and he WANTS to start on a Ninja 250.

As long as it's under 20k miles, and damage isn't TOO bad he will probably buy it.

He has about $1,500 to spend.

We are in Nashville and are willing to drive to pick it up (I will be riding it home for him)

Hmmm...

Perhaps I will soon, I'm looking to get back to my dirt roots.

2002 Ninja 250 (F16), 6500 miles, 2nd owner. Cosmetic damage only, engine is stronger than any other Ninja I've ridden, had a great break-in by the previous owner. New 140/90 Rear Tire (200 miles, taller, very nice if he wants to just go cruise), Sidewinder 520-108 Gold series chain (Lighter, non-O ring just needs lubed more often).

Been down twice, once on each side. Damage includes exhaust scratches, bar end weights gouged, lever scratches (NOT broken), kick stand gouged, rear brake lever broken, shift lever scratched, and dent in the tank.

I'm in the middle of baja race season right now, and then the bike is going to get painted, I'm hoping to replace the brake lever and bar end weights at the same time. Probably going to be blue (dark).

It will be in his price range if it goes, let me know if he is interested in talking a bit more. I'd also be looking for a trade to a 250 dirt, late 90s +, 2 stroke preferred.

He will be VERY interested if you get those broken pieces fixed...also, have any pictures of the damage? The gas tank dent worries me.

I've got one that I had before, I've been busy getting the race car ready, haven't really left the shop for more than a shower and food.

Ignore the paint, it's getting re-done. You can see the dent, in the middle of the tank. The front turn signals are also getting replaced.
