Default EDIT: MODS delete me...thanks

I really like Honda's gunmetal color thats on the ITR rims. Does anyone know what the color code is? I want to paint my rims that color. I tried searching but had no luck.

Thanks in advance...any info is appreciated.

thank you for that link, looks like i have a new site to browse through.

Has anyone painted rims this color before? Besides the ITR rims? Pics would be nice.

EDIT: OK i just took another look and it says the color code is undetermined...but it list two color codes underneath; are they suggesting that those two colors are the closest to the color?

Bullshit.

Your search for paint code returned 60 results
Your search for color code returned 43 results

The answer to your question was found with both of those searches.

Dude, I am SO ******* sick of seeing these damn "paint code" threads. Obviously (as indicated by my search results), there are over 100 of them.

Yes. Both colors mentioned are very, very similar to each other and either one is a good match.

I was reading through the other thread and i came to the conclusion based on the posts that the solaris is the color from the factory while the kaiser is barely off. Can you agree with this?

Not necessarily. The Solaris Silver is the factory color for the wheels on the '94-96 NSX. I've seen the Solaris Silver (on wheels as well as touch up paint) next to our GM wheels and they look like a perfect match. I've only seen the Kaiser Silver on cars (the '97-99 NSX), not next to our wheels, so I can't comment on how close it looks based on experience. Some claim that the Kaiser is the factory color, so I can only assume that it, too, probably looks like a perfect match.

Don't agonize over it. Pick either one and it should work out fine.

It's actually the other way around. The Acura parts computer indicates that Kaiser Silver is the factory color for the ITR (and I can confirm that this is indeed an exact match). Other individuals have found Solaris to match well, and the colors appear to be quite similiar.

I had both Kaiser and Solaris and was comparing them to the USDM and the JDM Gunmetal wheels I had at the same time. In my comparison the Kaiser matched up better with the JDM ITR Gunmetal while the Solaris matched up better with the USDM Gunmetal. So depending on what gunmetal you want well help you pick the color. Good luck!
