ok well today i got up to commute to the bay area like every other day and i got gas and got back on the freeway and when i hit 4500rpm my motor started making a clakclakclakclakclack but only from 4500 to 7000 not at idle and not under 4500 my pops said it might be a wrist pin but then he said could be shitty gas to so i dont know, the motor just hit 170,000 miles and it still runs good and still runs the same so if you know wtf is wrong with it let me know thnx

 

rod knock? or maybe valve adjustment?

 

i dont think its a rod knock cuz it would knock the whole time

im having the same problem, my car just hit 135,000 miles and it started doign the samething around 3500rpms. and i cant find were the noise is coming from.... it only does it when im in motion. but my motor is a D16y8 sohc

hey i found out that sound, try checking your CV axles. i check mine and they giggled thats your sound. (well that was mine) remember to check it in neutral, lets presure of the nuckles......
