10k/8k is really soft, and I would not hesistate to put those kinds of spring rates in a car meant to carry my grandma around.
Who makes the coilovers for Silk Road and what makes you say their stuff is really good? Sorry, I'm not trying to be combative, I just had assumed "Silk Road" was of poor quality like JIC.

No offense, but these are the type of responses that I expect to see in the Appearance/Cosmetic forum, not here.
So far no one who has experience with them has posted any useful feedback about them. From what I gather this is a suspension for people who drive their cars on the street and want it "slammed".

Silk-Road is the manufacturing company for J's Racing, many Tanabe products, Cusco...there are a few more.
The coilovers pictured above are the first generation of coilovers (Spec RMA8), and we have used these on many cars, including our S13 D1 drift car, and a few employees have used these on their Civics/Integras. In terms of ride, they are very stiff when adjusted full stiff, and are very compliant when on soft. The coilovers are monotube, 8-way adjustable, include upper pillowball mounts, and are very durable/strong. They are not the lightest system, but hold up very well. They are more popular in the Nissan world, and are now making a name for themselves and sneaking into the Honda scene.
The newest SilkRoad coilovers, which havn't been officially released yet, feature external reservoir, monotube design, and are oriented more for race/track use rather than street.
