Default HOW DO I GET THIS OFF MY BLOCK????

how do you get that peice around the crank off. the peice i am talking about it on the outside of the block and around the crank, there is a few bolts holding it on, when you look on the inside there is 3 philips screws that look like there holding it on, do i have to take those out? casue the caps for the crank are in the way of getting at them?

im trying to transfer everything from 1 gsr to another bare block. and i dont wanna take anything else apart on the first one.

any help would be fantastic!

this is what im talking about, not my engine, but a pic i found.

edit--- changed the pic for you guys

Look like your trying to get the oil pump off.take all the 10mm bolts off, take the crank pully of,take the timing cover off, then take the timing belt gear off and the pump should come off with ease.if you cant do it yourself i would recomend you take it to someone that knows what they are doing.

are you talking about the crank angle sensor on the obdII blocks?

Edit: looking at the pic, you wouldn't be talking about the oil pump would you??

To get the oil pump off you do not have to remove the screws from the inside. They Honda-bond the **** out of them so you need to gently tap a flat head screw driver in to pop it off.

you have to take off the oil pan, the oil pickup is attached to the oil pump inside the pan. theres 4 10mm bolts and 2 12mm bolts holding on the oil pump.
