Default Stage 1 complete, Now Wut??

So i just got the AEM intake and Magnaflow exhaust.. but now i'm not too sure of what to do next... Alot of my friends have been telling me to get a fuel pressure regualtor and that will free up alot of HP. (can i turn my fuel pressure up and down w/ this??). and other friends tell me to get a header, but i can't find any good headers in my price range cept for the ones on ebay but i don't think i want anything too cheap. I'm going to be doing the mini-me conversion farther down the road, but right now i just want small cost-effective mods to give me a lil more performance. So can anyone give me a lil advice on the best mod to go with next.

edit: Stay the expletive away from a fuel pressure regualtor. Adding more fuel will do nothing without adding more air. A header is a good place to start. Personally, I'd get the cheapest thing out there as you MIGHT see 2-3 hp at the wheels.

Your friends are morons. A fuel pressure regulator will not free up horsepower. Instead of a fuel pressure regulator, buy a lug wrench. Smack each of your friends in the face with it.

A header will help a little, but not a lot. Since you mentioned mini-me I assume you have either a D15B7 or a D16Y7? Save up for that; also pick yourself up a Z6 or Y8 tranny. It will certianly help out with acceleration.

you know nothing about cars.. and neither do your friends

don't do anything to your car till you learn about them first and when a fuel pressure regulartor comes in handy... spend a few months here, read the faq etc... then you should know what to do next

haha yeah your friends arnt too smart. Anyways header is gonna be a waste of money. You wont even feel any difference. Save up like 4 grand and do a swap or something. Theres always the turbo route but I have not yet gone up that avenue. All I can say is that I am very happy with my b18c swap and im never going back to a d-series. And then if you still want more theres always turbo and then your gonna really be movin.

Stop wasteing your money on that crap. you obviously have a d15 non vtec. Dont buy anything more for the motor. Just save your money and turbo it.

poor guy, just to let you know HT doesn't hate you, just read the FAQ's

if you notice, the engine swap one says:

d-series don't respond well to bolt-ons

so, stop bolting stuff on lol
