Default Some TEIN assistance for this poor fool please!

I can't believe the crappy luck I've had this week....

I got a set of TEIN HAs and they are in great shape. The previous owner is no longer in the country....

Here's my beef.

That riceboy never used the helper springs and because of that he was able to GANGBANG his car superlow. Being the poser that he is, he didn't do the install himself and the parts I am looking for now are LOST.

I need to know if anybody has a complete set of those PLASTIC collars that go between the helper and main springs. Anybody want to sell them? Anybody have any solutions otherwise?

I know it is entirely possible to run either
a) no helpers
b) longer springs

Both options I personally don't like, the second one mainly due to added cost and WTF am I gonna do with these shorter springs?

I have contacted TEIN USA and they want 24USD EACH for ONE of these plastic perches.... I nearly fell outta my chair....

tein is the only place to get those perches. call up some tein distributors and find out what they can do. also, i recommend that you use the helper springs.

it was no arguement, it was simply the fact that you didn't want to pay for the coil-overs. I never should've let you take them without paying for them upfront. I was an idiot to take your word.

Default FYI

There are a number of things your omitting: 1) the helper springs are nearly compressed when in stalled in any application and any height. I know b/c I've worked on, driven and installed HA's on car w/ and w/out helpers. No difference, period! Some people actually argue to use the HA's w/ out the helper/tender spring to allow a more complete linear spring feel. 2) the cars weight will compress the shock to the appropriate level, hence negating the need for any "longer" springs. Also, my friend and I have compared my front 12kg/mm spring w/ his 8kg/mm, and the difference in length was negligable, if my memory serves me correctly.

Fact is, the helper springs are not inherantly neccassary, nor do they augment the function of the shock/suspension to any degree neccessitating their use. Just take a deep breath, install the HA's, and take your car out of the garage.

you don't have to edit your posts to change what you're saying. I've already sent you a msg through PM so I wont waste other people's time. Bottom line...don't let parts go without getting the money for them UPFRONT. If anyone tells you guys they will pay you back later, it's nothing but BS unless you know the person well. Again, I made the mistake of taking your word.
