Default Need help identifying a part

I need help identifying some control arms that came with my rear disc conversion for my civic. I thought my rear discs came off an integra except these control arms are not like other integra control arms.

I don't know how to post pics yet on forums. I'll figure it out asap.

What seems different? Do they smell different? Do they taste different? Mine did. Could you tell us more about what makes you think so?

Also, what Stamps can you see? On the Spindle, on the Calipers... wherever you see markings, type 'em out and we might be able to help you easier... Unless you were just trolling...

Thanks. Your links were really informative. Problem is I'm too lazy to take off my wheels to look at those numbers on my the calipers that were just installed. There was no serial number on the control arms either.

I just took pictures of them. I'm trying to figure out how to post them on these forums. Thanks a lot though.

Here are the pics I promised:
And disregard the label I wrote with my whiteout pen. I didn't want to lose it in case it wound up in my bro's pile of Nissan parts.

Because it utilizes the 'eye type' strut instead of the normal 'fork type' strut featured on regular Integras. The strut goes inside the LCA as opposed to around it.

Thanks again. My bro/mechanic confirmed it. He's the one that did the disc brake conversion for me and told me they didn't fit on my car. He's never seen those before. Although he's worked on his buddy's GSR. That's why he couldn't figure out where kinda car they were for.

A couple of questions though:
1.) Is there anything special about those control arms being that way?
2.) Are the Type R rear struts going to be more expensive? If so, damn.
3.) What kind of rear lower tie bar is cost effective? How much is it for an OEM one?

they will fit your civic, not sure why they're shaped that way. they are alittle lighter that normal integra, and if your gonna go w/ a sway bar go with comptech. you can't go wrong.

What is a good suspension set up with these LCAs? What types of struts and springs do recommend for the front and rears?

Get some tiens!!!! Bomb *** suspension, expensive, but well worth the money. Or you could go cheap and get some tokico gas shocks, they work very well too, only like 200-300 depending on where you get them from.

Just make sure you get the rear shocks for an Integra Type-R. They should cost the same as regular Civic/Teg style shocks...
