boosted civic trans swap. how much difference

Default boosted civic trans swap. how much difference

i have a turboed 92 civic hatch. and i bought a ex trans about 2 months ago well i got beat on the deal cause the bearings were bad and the third gear was gone so now i swapped my dx back in how come i feel such a big difference or is it just my imagination but the car feels so much slower

Dx has longer gears but it shouldn't be that much slower.

i have heard that it is a very big difference from the shorter gears in the ex.

i have a boosted sohc with a dx tranny and my homboy has a boosted sohc ex and i really cant tell the difference.....

The EX transmission is geared significantly shorter and puts more torque to the ground in every gear.
