Is it better to keep my power steering or to take it out? Or is it just one of those personal prefference things? Some of my friends say yes and some say no and i just wanted some more opinions. thanks
I think it's a personal preference. I prefer P/S for AutoX because some courses have some SLOW corners where you're almost completely stopped. No P/S is nice for the roadcourse because you get a better feeling of what the car is doing IMO.
Do a search, this has been beaten to death lots of times, including this week. It's all personaly preference and seems to be 50/50, maybe 60/40 in favor of no P/S.

I can't say that I have ever been moving slow enough on-course where power steering would have made a significant difference in steering effort. The wheel can be turned with minimal effort pretty much as soon as the car moves from a standstill.

Not on the courses here on stickies. I had some issues with my old Civic hybrid I used to AutoX.

I think it is more of a preference.
However, I would urge you to go to races where they race the same type of cars you are thinking of racing. Look at the front runners and what they do and use. Obviously they are there for a reason.
