Default What is it worth? F20C Longblock w. dropped valve.

I have the opportunity to purchase a long block from a 2002 S2000. It has a valve "jammed" into the walls of the head... and the minor pieces bounced around inside the cylinder. (dropped a valve).

The head would need some alluminum welding done and such... and the block would need to be bored...

What does everyone think it is worth? Or is it worth getting at all?

Thanks for the input...

if you do the work yourself and labor is free...maybe, but buy a new head. what r u trying to put this engine into? this doesnt sound like a smart investment to me.

Do not buy it. If the valve got destroyed god only knows what happen to the cylinder walls and the piston more headache than it is worth.

$0.00

You know nothing.

For the person that started this, where is the motor at? I would buy it for $400 or so. Most of the people that are on here think IHE is a "cool" mod. They really dont know much about theere car. You should ask them how many s2k motors the vave 1; worked on, 2; taken apart, and 3; have not paid someone to do it.

As long as the head is not cracked it can be fixed. ****, you can fix a cracked one also
