Hydraulic Tranny
hey everyone i can't go to sleep and it just hit me when i was trying to sleep but has anyone done an hydraulic tranny into a 88-90 crx before, i would love to find out about this....? and if someone has done it, how hard was it to put it in the car.... Thankx guys
I have the hasport conversion into my 90 crx witha hydro tranny and it sucks. I did 1 day of drag racing and had to keep adjusting the cable all the time. So, went to the junk yard. Any 92-95 civic and I think 96-99 civic or 94-99 intrega, Take out the clutch mastercylinder, the resevoir, all the hard lines, all the hoses and the slave cylinder and clutch pedal. Remove the dash and take out the CRX pedals. Cut off the clutch pedal that has the cable. Install the 92-95 civic pedal using U clamps(FOUND THEM AT HOME DEPOT IN THE GARAGE SECTION). measure and weld the u clamps to the pedal. Now drill a hole about 1" to fit the pedal and clutchmaster cylinder. now drill the holes that line up to the u clamps. Bolt down and bleed and your down. I took me about 3 hours.
I have been racing 20 times without incident, thinking about doing to my other 88 crx.
I know this is a little vague but I hope it helps.
