Tach Install - 4 Wires - Red / Black / White / Green - Which is which
Got a generic tachometer with shiftlight has 4 wires
red and black are power and ground
Also has a white and a green, Im assuming one is for the the tach and one is to light up the gauge?
What wires would I be tapping into?
Green is probably the tach and white the light wire? Can i just hook that to a 12v source?
It also has a flick switch on teh back, is that light on/off?

Dont know about the switch in the back of the tach, but red=power, black=ground, green=tach, white=ignition. GReen wire hooks up to the solid blue wire thats located behind the gauge cluster or in front of the firewall on the drivers side
Pics always help. The white wire is more than likely for the light, you can just splice into a 12v source for that one. As for the green tach signal wire, you'll have to tap into the signal wire from the distributor or the pin on the ECU for RPMs.
DOnt touch the distributor or ecu. Look for the solid blue wire on drivers side of the firewall in the engine bay, or there's one right behind the gauge cluster.
