SW388
Should i just stick with the stock 205/55/16 ft 225/50/16 rr? Or stay with stock front and run a 245/45/16? I will be running S388 16x7 +35 ft 16x8 +45 rr.
Any input will be helpful.

I'm staying with 16's so why not use the rubber I have? Will the 245 really make a difference?

You can run the current tires, if you want to go through dismount and remount/rebalance. Why not use the full potential of the wheel width? 225/245 combo is perfect for those wheels.

This is what i was thinking but i was unsure if they would fit properly.

SO3's or Pilot Sport Cup's if I go 225/50/16 ft & 245/45/16
TA KD if I stick with stock sizes.

R they the Stock "225" Potenza S-02's on the spoons?
Those are really a 245.
Thats why if you were going to mount different tires OTHER than the S-02s, then a 245 would be your best bet.

No, they are BFG TA K/D. They were on the car when i bought it. I will probably run the 225/245 setup. Just wasn't sure about the fit on a stock height car. I don't want any rub.

unless you are at stock height, you will rub running 225's in the front on the spoon wheels, especially the +35 front wheel

No drop here just stock. So I can get away with the 225 front right? (for sure no rub?)

if you hit a bump that causes the suspenion to bottom out, you might damage your fender, tire, or the liners since it will rub. You'll experience long compression bumps when travelling at speed and hitting a dip in the road surface.

and vapor is right, 225 is alittle too big on fronts. i would go with a 205, i ate the **** out of my fender...

Spoon has or had a +45 offset 16x7 front wheel, you have to request it when picking up a set. I've been out of the loop so I don't know if you can still order sw388 wheels from spoon. It's not practical to run the +35 fronts since your tire options are severely limited.

Correct. I was referring to this comment:

neg, I don't think the sw388's were powdercoated. More likely they were andonized or shot with a very light coating. Powdercoating is very tough where the finish on the sw388's easily scratched. Desmond was the manufacturer for the sw388 aka regamaster.
