First, i'll do a quick introduction. My name's christian, i live near kansas city and drive a red 91 civic si with a stock d16a6.

I'm not 100% sure on what i'm going to do yet but I'm currently saving up money and considering my options. I would like atleast 200 hp or more. My most considered option right now is a d16z6 turbo. It seems easy, pretty cheap, and fast. I'd likely make the kit myself.

Money is definately an issue 'cause i'm getting like 200 bux every 2 weeks right now so cheap is good. But don't get me wrong, I'm willing to pay for a quality product.. i'd just like as cheap as possible with not having to regret it later.

I'd like to spend around 1000 on the turbo stuff and maybe 500 for other various parts. if you have what i'm considering doing and have my wanted horsepower. I'd love to hear some info from you such as your quarter mile (if you've done it) and what your setup is. Thanks for reading. feed back will be greatly appreciated...

 

since your going with the d16z6.

to reach about 200 you wouldn't have to boost so much. you can piece your own turbo kit together for very cheap and it'll be effective.

go cheap on whats gonna control everything. like the fuel management.

you can buy a good used turbo, keep in mind the smaller turbo you have, the more boost you'll have to run to achieve the horsepower you want.
