Ok I have been a little worried since I got the car on the dyno and only put down 159.6whp. I know my mods are minimal but I was still expecting alot more especially with my times. The car has recently been burning ALOT of oil. I'm talking like half a quart every 300miles or so. I haven't been running it that hard either. I have always kept a check on it and still have not overevved it.
What I'm thinking is that the problem the dealer failed to fix quickly a while back has had a long term effect on the car. If you remember my distributor coil had to be replaced because it had been causing my car to misfire and hesitate. During the period in which I took it to the dealer several times the car ate up a brand new set of spark plugs (namely the #1 cylinder). It almost completely melted the #1 plug (NGK-R that had just been replaced 2,000mi ago or so). Could this have any relation to what I am experiencing now. The car doesn't miss or anything, but it apparently has lost some power.
Oh and how hard will it be to convince a dealer to break open the engine to see if the rings are sealing? Thanks in advance.

you ran a 14.0 with only 159.6whp....?????? was that a type r motor in a crx LOL jk

.....take it in and have them do the whole series of checks including a LEAKDOWN and COMPRESSION test. This should be covered under warranty.
It is *possible* that a part of one of those plugs fell into the cylinder and has been scarring the walls... If so, this would be a great time to pull those pistons, overbore by .25 and swap in ctr pistons... This could be covered under warranty - even the pistons, if the dealer is cool...
Get the tests done first though before you jump to any conclusions...
The only time I seem to burn oil is when I'm hitting the rev limiter all day long...
