Default CRX w/ B18A.. Someone hacked up the passenger side engine mount bracket?!?!?!

I got a guy who brought me a 89 CRX DX I think (maybe HF) and he had a B18A in it. We removed it b/c the guy who previously did the swap cut out the passenger side bracket and re-welded it to the CRX frame in order to avoid buying the proper engine mounts. So is it possible to buy that bracket new from Acura? Just to clarify, I'm not talking about the engine mount. I'm referring to the bracket which is welded to the frame that holds the mount. And if it is possible to find does anyone have a part # or a diagram with illustration #? We can't reuse this one. It is too hacked up and I don't want this swap looking ghetto.

I'm not sure and highly doubt Honda will sell just the mount that's part of the body. I think you might have to cut it off of another car and weld it onto yours.

the one on the frame or the one on the front crossmember?
my crx used to have a b18 but now has the d16a6 back in. front mount was hacked up...i replaced the front crossmember so i could use the front mount again. but if its the one on the sides then you might need to go to the junk yard with a torch or plasma cutter or something to get that part out..

You should cut it out of a junk car. You may be able to buy the section from honda, go by a local body shop and ask if they have a body parts order book for that car. (professional courtesy hopefully!)

yes I beleive you can get that part new. I know that you can definitly get it for egs because if you have ever done a auto to manual in an eg, you know that the auto and manual EG brackets are different, and the auto mount must be cut out, and the manual must be rewelded in. So I'm pretty sure the stealership will sell the bracket for an ef also.

BTW at one point in time I rocked a cut up custom mount, with integra motor mounts. I then switched to AZ race mounts and fabricated a mount outa 1/4" plate steel. It is much beefier than the stock mounts. Now I must cut it out anyway, for I'm going K. I drove mine for 2 years with the custom fabbed bracket, with no ill effects.
