Hey, how do you get the lower half of the rear seat out? I don't want to prye on it too much and bend the springs. Any suggestions?

 

there are two clips if i remember correctly that go into the body of the car, lift the seats towards the front of the car and then pull, you'll have to put some effort into it...why are you taking the back seats out anyway? that's for a 4th and 5th gen i would assume its the same for a 6th but i wouldn't know as you didn't put the year of your accord

 

take out the mat in the trunk and there should be at least two bolts back there... what year is the car?

 

The rear seat bottom on my 6th gen sedan comes out by just yanking up on the front of the cushion.

There's also a bolt that has to be taken out on the 6th generation. Imagine the seatbelt buckle for the person sitting in the far left position - the bolt is right behind that (in the crevass) if I remember correctly. Then yes, just pull up on the front.

 

I just looked in the haynes manual for the 98 and 99's... there is a *supposed* to be one bolt accessible from the trunk under the carpet

 

It was assessable from the crevass in my '99 though I didn't try to access it from the trunk.

Strange.. I've never had to deal with a bolt. I've always just yanked up and pulled it out without any problems

 

seat in my 4th gen had 2 bolts on the back corners of the seat, one in the center accessible after taking top part out.

then there was some sort of glue type substance holding it down, just yank it hard man

 

I'm taking the seat out to power wash it. the people who owned the car before me were total pigs, and it's disgusting. I found the bolt for the top OK, there are none at theback. It's hooked in the front somehow. I'll take a look for clips. Thanx!
