a good start would be to get a decent intake, a decent header and an straight thru exhaust...

man theres a whole bunch, theres a whole lot of threads bout all the different types and "this one beat that one on htis dyno" etc type of stuff.. at the end of the day theres only like a 1 or 2 hp difference between hellishly expensive systems, and the results you'd get from using an ebay short ram and a K&N filter..

and the ebay/K&N setup shouldnt set you back so much cash compared to, for example, a AEM V2 system..

um, just a sidethought, u dont have the vtec-e 1.5i (fuel economy) do you?? coz i heard too much airflow doesnt do those any good..
but on any other motor it should make some difference..

go with the cheapest, all work NEARLY the same. AEM, used is what I got. look on ebay and stuff. go with ram air, don't worry about getting bogged out in the rain. non-tec, well, it will still make a lil difference, sound meaner atleast. headers aren't that bog of a deal, unless you are going for looks, stock headers work fine unless you have too many miles on them ,leaking. good luck.

rosco, do some research on your own man. I hate to tell you how to mod your car, but you're getting bad advice. this forum is very b-series biased, so if you've got a single-cam engine and you're not going to swap, check out http://www.turbod16.com, http://www.homemadeturbo.com, or http://www.sohchonda.com for some better ideas and DYNO SHEETS. word of mouth is not the way to spend thousands of dollars homie
