Can you reuse the plastics on the underneeth?

I know the 04 splashguards are different. Can you cut them or do i have to buy the 04 splashguard?

you have to either get the ap2 splashguards or trim/modify your ap1 splashguards...

It only takes a little trimming, plus some drilling of the splashguard to accept the clip holes. No biggie.

Its not hard to make the AP1 plastics work lik ethe others have said. If you want a clean look, buy the AP1 ones, they aren't expensive

you mean the bumper rebar? Now that you mention it my 04 bumper sits a little too far forward making a gap beneath the headlights. So im gonna say...maybe so. Or just buy the 04 rebar.

I heard you have to grind the edges down otherwise they will dimple the paint..

From my personal experience the body lines match up but the top/front corners of the beam want to pierce through the bumper cover leaving spider cracks in the paint. It only takes a little bit of grinding on each corner so if you like hacking up a $20,000 car, don't get too crazy...

It's a $30k car.

The 04 bumper support beam has a slant already built in.

True but we are talking about an ap1. I wouldn't pay 30 for one. You can buy mine for 30 though. I've never looked at a ap2 support, is it a big slant. Anyone got a pic...

yes just buy it. Save you the hassle. Plus if you grind down the Ap1 one then you have to spray or RUSTY will be your cars nickname.

Jeff, use a galvanizing primer. It bonds chemically to bare metal, then paint right on top.

from personal experience,

you gotta cutoff/grind off part of the beam.
