Dust Ring?

Anyone have a pic of the dust ring I need to remove when I replace my axle? Is it on the axle itself, or on another part of the car?

i dont think i ever took mine out....or maybe they were already taken out...but does it matter? my axles aren't binding or anything..theys pin freely..
