Default JE pistons question

It's about time for me to rebuild my motor again after the tragic failure, this time around I'll be building up the block with forged pistons.

I've purchased a set of JE 11:5 87mm (stock size) forged pistons along with Eagle con-rods.

Now what kind of processing does the H22A4 block need in order to use these pistons besides sleeving? I read somewhere that it's the bets to run aftermarket sleeves such as Darton with these pistons, is this true?

Hey bro, what happened to your setup? I remember u were making good power!

Also to answer your question, you cant run forged pistons on h22a sleeves. The only pistons that are forged and compatible with the FRM sleeves is the JUN Pistons, and also some pistons that endyne was co-signing. Or so i heard on the second to last half of my info. So yes you need to resleeve in order to run those pistons in short.

Hey bro its was a long story, in short my supertech valves failed on me and dropped in the cyclinder. You can imagine what the consequences are...

Anyway when you say re-sleeve, you mean I need to replace the H22a sleeves with aftermarket ones right?

What are my options here? Darton and who else makes sleeves for H22?

Darton, AEBS, benson ETC. Personally i would get benson to resleeve my block. I was going to go wtih them a while back. Theyre resleeving process keeps the block Open deck which is a + for NA setups Talk to memeber Earl for more info.

Thanks for the info dood! Im mostly likely going with Darton sleeves for my setup.

They have a both Non-flange or Flange version for the H22, whats the difference and am I able to use either one with JE pistons?

I have darton ductile sleeves...they look pretty secure..I am able to bore my b16 block to 87mm...I will soon beable to see what my setup on my b16 will beable to do really really soon...--I heard a lot about darton and AEBS--

I dont know honeslty about the flange part..but I paid around $600 for the kit if that helps you any..and another $400 labor to get them put in..

When you say ductile sleeves, is that the flanged or non-flanged version?
There seems to be a huge difference in the price, so i wonder if its necessary to have the flange.

All of the sleeves we supply are made of the same Ductile Iron we use on all our Top Fuel and Funny car sleeves.

You can go with the basic 300 series flanged sleeve. If you look in JE Pistons catalog it states that you must sleeve the block in order to use those pistons.

Got another question:

What kind of rod bearings should be used with Eagle con-rods? stock or aftermarket?
