i have a 1.8 gsr with 11.5:1 compression, s2s2 cams. currently running a DC header but planning to switch to something better later in the year. It put down about 210hp so its pretty potent.

My Question is, will switching to a Apex i WS or RSR exmag exhaust hurt a semi built all motor setup? My current 2.5" thermal sounds raspy and loud. I know i want some thing quiet like the 2 exhausts listed above but idk if the piping diameter will hurt me.

Otherwise my opitions are to cut the thermal apart for a big resonator and an es oval.

 

im also running a test pipe, with one of the exhausts about would it sound ok w/o or would i want to look at a high flow?

it shouldn't hurt too bad, a buddy of mines got a rs-r exmag on his and it doesn't seem to affect his car, but his is a stock b16 with little modifications, he actually gained a little bit of torque down low..

 

yea, im just worried about losing up top HP and then having to buy another exhaust.
