OK my cousin is having a very big problem on what he wants to do on his ITR.he doesnt know if u wants to Turbo it or Spoon it up.he was also think about Supercharge.i would like to know what would you all do to your ITR if u had the money??
None of the above, I'm not into spoon too much $ for too little performance, turbo is too much hassle IMO, and supercharging is a waste of money unless you are like rboosted17

I would not supercharge or turbo...it's a lot of work to undo **** that Honda did, ie. the high compression and close ratio tranny. People who know much more than I will also say that ITR heads are not great for turbo'ing...I'd have someone fully build my motor and get some cams if $$ were no object.

of course we have seen people turbo'ing Rs and getting great results. I was basically saying that we have arguments for both sides of the coin.

I am not saying mods are good or bad...just saying if I had the money to spend, I would spend it on track days. Track days are sooooo much fun, but obviously, there is risk involved.

try searching for threads that "ImportReview" has posted in...and quit being annoyed.
if he said that...(i could care less) he's a ******* moron. dont believe everything you read on the internet. especially from a bozo who sells motors over the internet for a living. do your own research on port design, head flow in regards to turbo, etc. A lot of *gasp* V8 books come to mind. I know guys like SmokyYunick, Robert Yates, etc are all "dinosaur " motor builders, but more than half the import community could learn more than a few things....

I hear ya... i'm just getting sick of people saying you "can not" turbo an R. It's all good Ross, I would not turbo my R either.
hell, i portmatched the runners, built an expansion chamber tuned pipe , and modified the throttle linkage on my parents mower by the time i was 13.

after "mods" she would pull the front end off the ground when floored, and accelerate untill you let off the throttle. with a five acre lawn in Flatflowida........things got interesting quick

I also knew someone that had a perfectly nice turbo setup on his R and blew the motor up.
It obviously can be done...but it is more work than going NA. I am not biased against turbo by any means...I just wouldn't do it to my R. I would ido it to an LS in a heartbeat....I saw a beautiful turbo'd LS at the dyno day last weekend and thought I'd love to have that car...or a DSM and boost the **** out of it. I have accumulated this rep as an anti-turbo ****...but that's far from the truth.

Daily driving? - then reliability will likely be a primary issue
Drag racing? - then turbo might be the way to go
Road racing/track days/HPDE? - stay NA
Bling blinging? - buy an Escalade instead
