Default i read it in honda tuning

they had a d16y8 and somehow put in zc internals and the thing boogied enough to put more horses down than and si which cost about 1,200 bucks. does anyone recollect this or know anything about the zc cuz i want to do my d16y8 up

i know the article you are talking about, its actually a z6 w/ zc dohc pistons, a skunk 2 intake manifold, and some other bolt ons. they are kind of naive in that write up about the build price, and some other things. in my opinion, just boost it.

the whole reason that motor put down so much power is cause they tuned it with hondata..and are u sure the pistons were the zc dual cam i thought they were the single cam zc vtec..correct me if im wrong..plus the b16a2 was bone stock and didnt have any tuning done to it

no they where dohc zc high dome pistons, thats how they made the 11.0:1+ compression, and all the power. they said nothign about camshaft, even though im sure one was used. and never said rpm scales, but w/ that HP i am sure they where revving higher than stock.

it was actually dohc zc PM7 pistons, that yield a 12.03:1 compression, which requires race gas, and a bunch of tuning. this is the reason i said they left alot of stuff out.
