Default Stock rates

What are the stock spring rates for CRX Si?

I've been looking into aftermarket suspension, and as far as springs go I see a lot of different things. For example, Tien SS's have something like 140 lb/in rear and 269 lb/in front. That doesn't seem very stiff to me. Then I was reading this guy's EF website and he was saying a heavy front bias for spring rates was the preserve the stock understeering tendency, he reccomended something like 500 f/r which is way stiffer. Just wondering what the real story is because that's a huge difference, and I was also wondering how stiff the stock ones are by comparison.

Just to give you an idea here, this is some info I collected some time ago doing my research for my current coilovers:

96-00 EX _________165F/80R (P/P)
LS/GS/RS integras__212/117
GS-R - ___________200F/95R (P/P)
99-00 Si (EM1) - ___201F/99.8R (P/P)
CTR - ____________240/240 (L/P)
97, 00-01 ITR - ____250F/250R (L/P)

Where P=progressive and L=linear

This is all info I gathered here on HT so don't blame me if it's off. I have 320/250 ground control coilovers and it's pretty comfortable for DD, but a little too soft for me. I would have gone with a 400/350 or something like that. I am going to guess and say the CRX si is in the 120/60 range... **just a guess** I used to have an EF hatch so I can't be that far off

And make sure if you go with stiff spring rates, that your bushings are in good condition because a stiffer suspension is going to bring up more stress on the bushings, causing them to wear off quickly. My hatch needed new bushings badly.

Are stock Civic EX springs really that soft?!?!

Yeah some of those numbers are indeed off. GS-R springs are identical to RS/LS/GS/SE springs - the LS rates are correct, I don't know where they got the "GS-R" rates. ITR springs (you forgot '98, the best year ) are 246F/13x-246R progressive (the lower number is somewhere between 120-150, forget which). I dunno about the Civic rates.

Yes, civic rates are awefully low. And regardless of trim (except for 99-00 si), they are all the same. At least 92-00. I had an ef hatch (1920 lbs) and that thing rolled rolled like a pig in turns, from experience, I would say they are way lower.
