K20a vs K20a2
Ok guys I blew my D17 so I am going to swap in a K20. Some time back I researched this quite extensivly, but still can't seem to decide. Here is what I want: Right now I autox in STS and do quite well with my current setup (to bad it is now fucked). I want somthing that will be competative in the SM class, so I was thinking the K20a becuase it is really designed well as an NA engine, however as you guys know they are hard to come by and are around 1-2K more than a type S. The problem is with the type S is getting it reflashed so it will start, to avoid this I would have to throw on a Kpro, which would bring me close to the price of the K20a. So what would you guys rather have, a K20a I/h/e or a K20a2 kpro/I/h/e and then have the option of caming it at a latter date? I know that the gains from the Kpro have been quite significant and correct me if I am wrong it would fix the problem of having to reflash the ECU
That A is just so damn expensive still. I would only consider the A unless you have money to burn. Not to mention you will end up wanting k-pro eventually, we all do.
The A2, K-pro and some IPS cams would be a great start.
